Business Comments:

The city of Omaha has been doing business with the Harry Ferris Company since at least 1973, that is when I began working for the City of Omaha. My experience working with the Harry Ferris Company is a very good one. They have always provided excellent service and technical support.

Equipment Comments:

The first pieces of ISCO equipment I remember the city buying were 3230 bubbler flow meters and 1680 automatic samplers; of the 24 bottle type. Before purchasing the 3230's we were using Steven's flow recorders with floats. Back in those days any purchase over $1500 needed to go out for bid; we had to buy lowest bid. Sometimes we were forced to buy other brands because of this process. My experience has shown me that ISCO equipment is by far the best for cost, reliability, and simplicity to program.

Over the years we have probably purchased 80-100 ISCO flow meters and 50-75 ISCO samplers. We use the equipment for several things:
1. Industrial flow monitoring and sampling for assessment of sewer use fees and compliance with sewer codes.
2. Flow monitoring and sampling of combined sewer overflows or "CSO's" for gathering data to build a model for the separation of storm and sanitary sewers in the city of Omaha.
3. Flow monitoring and sampling of separate storm water sewers. This data is used to develop the city of Omaha's long term storm water control plant.

Business Comments:

We bought our first ISCO sampler from the Harry Ferris Company in the fall of 2005. We've had trouble free operation. In the winter of 2006 we purchased our second refrigerated sampler, an ISCO 4700.

Equipment Comments:

Before these ISCO's we were using Century samplers. I did not like their design.
The pump, lines, and collection basket were all in the refrigerator; and things always seemed to freeze or plug. I've been very happy with our new ISCO samplers. There's nothing that can freeze or plug up in the controller and the programming is simple. I love the one button start up.

Business Comments:

Our city clerk got Justin's name on the internet. Justin setup and calibrated our Badger meter when we got a new Metering manhole for our wastewater lagoon site summer of 2006. He seemed to know what he was doing. Everything is working fine still.

Business Comments:
The city of Albert City has done business with the Harry Ferris Company since May of 2005. Justin Meader has been our sales/technical rep. and is very easy to talk to. Justin answers questions in a timely manner, is very professional and will come to our site to assist with our needs.

Equipment Comments:
Before we bought our ISCO, the city was using an old composite sampler that did not work well at all. There was not a vendor near to us that sold parts for it. The new ISCO sampler is very easy to use and I am able to set it to begin sampling when ever needed. The sample pump tube is very easy to change with thumb screws on the pump cover.
January of 2007 we purchased an ISCO 3010 ultrasonic flow transmitter. Justin came to program and calibrate it when it arrived.

Calibration Service Comments:
Justin Meader comes periodically to check how the equipment is working. He came within three days to calibrate the new ultrasonic meter. The ISCO flow meter is very easy to set up and use. I would recommend the Harry Ferris Company to anyone needing flow metering or sampling equipment.
